I went boarding on Tuesday afternoon and I hadn't been for a while and over did it. My right thigh is really sore today and I'm going out this afternoon. Anyone have any experience with this? I don't want to hurt myself but I'm really close to landing a 360. (just need the handle pass) At the same time I'm thinking I should take it easy and work on my switch riding.

Thoughts?

That's it? A sore thigh? Take some motrin and get the 360.

I should have clarified, does this up the risk of doing damage to my knee or other damage?

I would ask the crew you ride with on that one. I'm sure they have some colorful answers.

Take some motrin or advil, stretch it out well, and go riding. Or you can sit in the boat and explain to the rest of your crew why you arent riding today.....

What you probably risk is more chance of making a mistake and taking a hard fall. No different than riding when you're tired. That's when you're more likely to get hurt on a simple trick.

I had the same problem one day. I rode in the morning on a new set up. My legs didn't like it at all. Then in the afternoon we went again. This time I moved the binding in a little and after that I had no problems.

I was tired and sore the morning I broke my femur wakeskating. Looking back it would have been physically better for me not to ride, although I am a better man after going through the experience. But I am 42, youth is a wonderful thing. I would ride, everytime. (hangs head)

Ya, I rode. Didn't get the 360 though. Any advice on how to get used to passing the handle? I feel like I'm reaching all over back there and haven't even touched it once in about twenty tries since Tuesday.

Do it on a tramp or even just solid ground with a handle tied off to something.

Slow the boat down to about 12mph and do surface 360's. When you get comfortable speed up a little at a time. Then stick it.

BTW: Sorry if it doesn't help, I haven't done a 360 w2w. I can do the surface 360's though.
