I like the Witness. I am a little confused by your question. I would not describe any continuous as having a huge boot off the wake. The "continuous" hybrid boards like the Monarch, Assault that have big pop do not really ride like a continuous. I describe the ride of a continuous as being low drag, fast and smooth transition up the wake.

I am use to riding a continuous bought a ONE just did not like how it rode. I love RONIX stuff but just looking for something that rides like a continuous board. Hopefully that helps. Maybe something that is a hybrid would work. I ride an 08 Covin now. (Message edited by tampawake on July 24, 2009)

I ride the witness too, its not really a continuous but I see where john is coming from. It rides a lot like a continuous with respects to speed, consistency, and soft landings. Has a good 3 stage book off the wake though!

I rode Murray's shape from 1998-2005 Juvi-Temet. When Shaun built the board with 3" of continuous rocker it was just way to slow so I rode the Temet until I broke it in 2007. I demoed a ton of stuff and settled on the Witness because of speed, consistency, and soft landings. The Witness is incredibly clean riding up and releasing from the wake. I do find that I wish it had more pop at times, but I think I just need to throw more weight in the boat and then I would be happier with the boot. I typically just ride the stock ballast in an Malibu LSV with 2 people in the boat.

The new Marius pops pretty hard for a continuous due to the width...

I would try out the Lyman, it is a 3 stage but rides similar to a continuous--it is fast, smooth, and its big spines makes for soft landings

was riding the witness for about a season - and just gave up on it as it is too slow for me - coming from a trip - but the witness did ride very smooth and predictable. Jumped on a 08 Covin - loved it - but then snapped it in half - so Ronix sent me the VIVA which took the place of the Covin - rides NOTHING like the Covin - super swirly and more like a 3 stage now. They sent me some bigger fins just yesterday - and said that should make it feel like the covin again. Well see - if not - gonna jump on the Mana - hope that rides more like the original Covin.

I haven't ridden many continuous boards but I did try out the Marek and it was awesome... insanely light and smooth with really good pop, a bit pricey though

i hear the jstar vanity pops great for a continuous board. also jstar makes the lidberg and it pops bigger than just about any other blended rocker i've ever seen. If you need proof, just watch jack blodgett (vanity) or lidberg ride. Jstar is the most under rated company but they build some of the best shapes and they are tough as nails.

Ronix ibex....the boy rides this, quick with killer pop! He loves it. He rode the ONE this weekend and thinks the ibex is a better board for sure!

Ibex is a pretty aggressive 3 stage so that doesn't really fit what you are looking for at all. If you are looking for a board that rides and pops like a continuous I'd recommend the Murray, the Marius or the Faction. Of the three the Marius definitely has the biggest pop. It does everything well and for all that surface area is surprisingly quick.

MARIUS PLATINUM! Its wide and stiff. Because the Marius is wide, surface tricks seem to be much easier for the rider. It butters easier and the fins arent very big. I strongly suggest the Marius! Its a favorite amongst many and the Platinum gives it a noticable increase in stiffness which creates that pop/boot you are looking for. I ride a transcend which is a subtle 3-stage and its a very consistant pop which plenty speed. A couple of my friends ride the marius though and they love it. Surface tricks look cake on the thing! Good luck!
