Today I was having the best run of my life, I hitting toe side jumps in to the flats and even throwing in some grabs, until... I was about to land and the tip of my board was low and I figured I was going to face plant so I braced for impact. When I hit, my knee went into my chin.

Last time this happened I chipped a bunch of teeth, so that was the first thing I checked. It was fine so i was thinking thats going to hurt a little but ill be ok. Then i saw blood, I started to feel around on my face for something and my finger dropped into this huge 1 inch gash in my chin.

It never really hurt that much, just freaked me out, I went to the emergency room and ended up with 8 stitches. The best part was the doctor was really cool and let me video the whole thing. I will try to post up pictures soon (if your curious).

I have been wakeboarding for less than a year and have already had 2 injures that required a doctor.

Any one else have any like this happen?

On one of my early attempts at a backroll I somehow managed to fall and hit myself in the head with board still attached to my feet, that was 12 staples on my scalp. I have also had stitches under my chin twice from hitting my knees off of a hs 360 and a tantrum. Last summer I hit my knee on my lip doing a front roll, my teeth went through it. I had 12 stitches on the outside, and seven on the inside of my lip.

I finally uploaded the video of my stitching... pretty gross, but really cool that I have it. After hearing some of your stories mine doesn't seem that bad. Now it just looks like a big scratch and its barely on my chin.
