I have a 2003 Sanger V230 and have 2 props for it. I have the stock 3 blade that came with the boat and 4 blade that the previous owner purchased, it is an Ambush: http://www.hannaysmarine.com/2009han.../pg_00288.html

It seems to work ok, though I don't know how it might compare to an ACME or OJ. I hear that the ACME 911 is the way to go for lots of weight, is this the case?

What prop should I run for my V230 and 2400 lbs. of ballast?

Thanks,

-Tom

It sounds like the 911 is the way to go. Is there a lot of top speed lost in going with the 911?

Not alot but a few mph, I would say 2 to 4 mph loss on top end.

I do have a 525 that believe it or not, I haven't tried yet. This is the stock prop for Sangers, isn't it?

Tommy, I agree with Sparky not too big a loss, but then again i never run it wide out.

Hate,

Did you ever consider the 911, or did you go straight for the 653?

I'm pushing past the ability of the stock prop on my 237, so I'm now considering what my next prop should be.

Andrew, I see a lot of Discussion about OJ's new 5 blade prop... Maybe check out that thread.

Anyone know where to get a 911 for under $400? I know I've seen them advertised or someone had a coupon for a discount.

That discount code is some where on the natique site if I remember correctly. I looked at my paper work about a year ago and was unable to find it. Good luck.
