Hi, are thinking to try surfing this year and I found a pretty good deal on a LF venture, 4' 6" board. I am wondering if this would be a good board to use with my Supra 22ss DD. Can I get enough wake out of the boat to use this board? I am 5'11" 195lbs so I was also wondering if this board would be a good fit for my size? I would appreciate any advise from the guru's on this site before I go out an pony up the Peso'$ on the wrong setup!

that LF venture 4'6" may be a little to short for you...it might have a hard time keeping you bouyant.

I have ridden the 5'0" board before. I also lean towards thinking that board in that model is going to be a bit short for you. I'd keep looking unless its an absolute steal.

So should I look for 5'0" board with my size and boat config?. I kinda thinking to be just at the edge of the shortest board I could go, that way it won't be too large for my teenagers.

Go with the CWB Ride. I have an inland surfer, a liquid force and the CWB surf boards. The CWB Ride seems to be the one people enjoy the most, and tends to be the easiest for the beginners to get up on.

OK, I just found a better deal on a 5.0 Liquidforce skimskate. 2005 version.... Do you think that would work well with my setup/size
