OK. so I found this on Craigslist for $100 and picked it up over the weekend. (Liquid Force Skimskate 5.0) Since this is our first Wakesurf board and we are new to it this year; just wondering how well you think it will work. Our riders range in size between 5'8" to 6' weights of 150-195lbs. We will be trying behind a 2003 supra SS DD. I still gotta figure out how to get the best wake on it.Upload

Not bad for $100. I've never ridden one of those but I think that will work well for you guys as you get started. Its got enough fins to keep it tracking well as you get started and is the larger of the two sizes that were made which is always good as your learning. Welcome to the world of wakesurfing!

Hey Man, sounds like you are on the right track. This was the exact board I first rode and learned on. Its great for beginners and can be a great board for everyone involved honestly. Not sure how great your wave is, but I think you did ok here and the size will be fine. Eventually you may find that its a little sluggish and choose to upgrade, but this will make a great boat board...and it fit in my wakeboard racks! Hope you enjoy. Post back up how you think it rode after you try it out. You are about to get ADDICTED!

Thanks for the input. I was a little worried that I may have gotten the wrong board. Hope to try it out in the next week or so. I'm Waiting for the rope that I ordered to come in. I also ordered a new rack for the board to put on the tower because it is just slightly too wide for the existing racks. Still gotta figure how to enhance the wake? I have a 440 sac that I was thinking to put on the side of the engine along with a 150# brick plus the existing factory ballast locker 600, rear 400.

Looks like a great buy. Is that a box of Surf detergent in the pic? If so, it is fitting.
