Owners manual says to use SAE 30. I went to the store, they sell SAE 30 in High Detergent and No Detergent. I called the dealership and asked which one, and was told to use 25-W-40. I couldnt be more confused. Any advice? Thanks

I would go to another store and look for a different brand with neither of those descriptions.

Use the no detergent. Hi detergent oils typically are needed in combustion situations that lead to sulfer and fuel related buildups. Since your v drive experiences neither of these, the use of no detergent oil is fine.

As far as the weight to use, consult your owner's manual and verify the proper viscosity.
