You know this will be the first time anyone put a powerboat (gas) on that pond at Sparks Marina. That lake use to be a construction pit. They turned it in to a park after the 2000 flood filled up the pit. You guys should look at western village for rooms too. You could watch the event from you hotel room. Its right next door to the park.

J-Rod is that the discount price for the tour? I'm asking because I tried to book a room online and it was more expensive. They had a room for $66 but it was a smoking room with 2 twin beds. So I'm just wondering if I have to call to get that rate.

Don: that's right, they haven't but a boat in there before, it should be interesting. I was wonder, what is the water depth.

I'll be there...it should be pretty tight to have the pros come down here to Reno. We haven't put a power boat on that lake b4 so yea it will be pretty interesting.

The water is super deep in most spots Im guessing 75 to 150 ft. deep. I remember watching that pit fill up during the flood. The water almost took out I-80 next to the park. They had one lane closed for a few weeks.
