Any creative minds out there? Looking for ideas to hold my Ipod. Prefer not to drill any holes. This thing gets used alot so something that will hold up to abuse would be appreciated. Pics would be helpful too!! Thanks guys.

I got a folding billfold type holder and velcro'ed it down below my console. easy in and out and keeps dry too.

How about just using Velcro?

I use a cellphone holder, made for the cup/drink holder. The "cellphone" holder is adjustable to work with many different phones, which makes the Ipod fit perfectly. It's base sits in the drinkholder and walla. I got mine at Napa, but I have seen them at your full service car washes as well, and most likely any Walmart or Target would carry them as well. It works great.

I like Velcro the best. Kinda cheesy but works good.

I have an Otterbox iPod holder with a suction cup mount. It is totally waterproof and the mount works really well - sticks it to the windshield and you can adjust the position any way you like.

I've got the one that fits in a cupholder (an arm with a holder comes up from the cupholder). It stays in one place even in rough water. Completely temporary, couldn't be happier.

Thanks guys. I tried the velco route but the AZ heat turned the adhesive into goo. I like the windshield idea but I would like to keep the Ipod near my knees or at dash level.

I second the Proclip linked above. I used Velcro first but the hot sun made the stickum melt and it made a mess. I also tried the suction cup, but it would always seem to fall when I was trying to drive.

I just drilled four small holes and it's done.

I have been considering one of these.

Here is mine. Just a simple Belkin mount, bolted onto a custom-made (pretty simple) bracket that fits under the dash switch plate.

Proclipusa brackets are high quality. I've been using them for years in my cars and they are the best hands down, imo. I haven't yet adapted one to fit into the boat but will be shortly.

This is the one I use, It's made by bracketron. It is very similar to one that Robo has and is available at Best Buy and is about $10.00 cheaper.
