I have searched but still haven't got the answers. I am going to South lake in 10 days for my brothers bachelor party and he wants me to bring my boat. I have a training seminar right up until his party so i would have to drive up 5 days early and leave my boat somewhere. What i need to know is 1. Is there any place people tie up or stop at beach front bars 2. Hows the sandbar area? my friend mentioned it to me but i am going to be with 10 guys...never allowed more than six on my boat...see pics below for what i am used too 3. Any ideas of where to safely store it....i have a lot of gear/electronics i dont want to wonder off Any help is greatly appreciated everyone Like i said i cant picture having 10 dudes on my boat

Mox... I don't think any regular on WW will doubt you not having 10 guys ever on your boat! The pics of your boat crew are probably the best marketing out there for any potential boat owner!

I agree with Jeremy, I don't see one pic with you having any boards in your racks. I'm not sure why you having girls vs guys is even relevant?

4 pics posted, and not one showing a board stored in the racks.... Looks like he should have bought one of these instead.

I don't knoe if MOX does or doesn't use his boat to ride but who cares? Wake boats are the best looking and to each his own. You wouldn't try and slam a guy that doesn't take his Porsche GT2 to the race track, why do it here? @ Jeff W, he has upgraded to WS 485's as you can see in the first pic.

Zephyr Cove is where you want to be for sure. It's on the Nevada side, just about a couple miles past the casinos. There is a bar on the beach and depending on the weekend, boats tie-up right next to the beach. As far as storing it, don't leave it on the water, just pull it out and put it wherever you are staying. Don't worry about sandbars on that lake, it is the deepest lake in the world. But, I hope you don't plan on riding, because it is probably the choppiest lake in the world too! BTW, I am pretty sure that it is supposed to be raining in Tahoe this weekend. I am also heading up there for a bachelor party!

Try the Tahoe Keys Marina, they rent slips, store trailers and are really easy to deal with, another idea would be to try craigslist for a buoy to get. My group tries to always get a house that has either a buoy or a dock as it is easier than pulling it out and paying a fee each day. We usually stay up near Homewood on the west shore and hit up Chambers landing (bar on the water) but I have also heard that Zephyr Cove is fun as well as Camp Richardson. Early morning riding is the only way to get good water on Tahoe. Also, make sure to have your boat completely DRY as they will be inspecting for mussels at every launch ramp, more info here… http://www.trpa.org/default.aspx?tabid=351 I have been inspected both trips up this summer and its easy to pass as long as your boat is completely dry.

Thanks to all whom put up some helpful info. I am still debating on if i am going to bring it since we wont actually do any riding. As for the trash talkers i also love to talk trash but i love to do it to my good friends and I recommend all of you join some fantasy football leagues. I do ride during the week and on the weekends the water is too choppy. So those that want to hate that i also use my boat as a party boat i say to each his own...We all must remember we are still fortunate to have a boat in this economy. I have only gone boarding once this year so I can keep my technicians jobs...They all have kids and it just isnt right for me to be on the lake during the week. Everyone enjoy whats left of your season and again thanks to those who helped me

Mox, take the boat. I was over on Northshore about a month ago, it was supposed to rain then too. Was also a guys trip but it was good fun bouncing (across the waves) between Sunnyside and Homewood bars. If you don't have your boat you will wish you did. Bring a wakesurfer, it's the perfect activity for Tahoe. I would be nervous out by Zepher cove, I think that's where the waves land when it gets windy? Obviously you've got game so I am sure you might find a few felines to jump on the boat to spruce up the image. Enjoy. (Message edited by mikeski on August 19, 2009)

Camp Richardson is pretty cool. There is a place called the Beacon bar and they have $5 Rum Runners on Wednesdays. Always crowded and they have docks there that you can tie up at and just take care of the guys working at the marina with a good tip. Just my 2 cents. Also Zepher Cove is OK. It wasnt too crowded when we were there and you can beach on the north end i beleive.

I love Tahoe and when we went, the water wasnt too bad. If you go in the a.m. there is a spot over to the east of the entrance to emerald bay called ski beach. We went there and wakeboarded in the morning and it wasnt too bad. About 11 the wind kicks up and your done. ood thing is Camp Richardson is pretty much right there to the east. We actually made the mistake of boarding in some shallow water that we thought was ski beach and it wasnt. stay in the dark blue H20 and you are fine. Have fun!
