My son is Commercial Fishing up in Alaska in Bristol bay this summer. He will be up there for 6 weeks, returning July 24th. I have been telling him about our trips on our x-45 on the willamette, getting him Anxious and a bit Jealous about our weather and wakeboarding... He emailed me this morning and told me that all of this wakeboarding talk got him excited about boarding later this summer, so he had built a wakeboard out of Plywood in his spare time, and was wakeboarding up their. Water is 40 degrees, his first couple of tries, immediate face plant into the sand. I had a laugh about that. says he had to work out some skags so he could cut, and now is blasting down the beach. Says it should keep him busy until he can get behind a real boat. Just goes to show, if it is in your blood, you will do ANYTHING to get out on the water... thought all would appreciate this pics....

Nice pics! He's really hooked. With all that butter - he really should get some sort of non plywood board.
