I was looking around the site last night and stumbled into the gear section. I actually found the first board I ever owned. I got a few good laughs as I read some of the reviews on the gear from back in the day.

skurfer blast. got it the spring of 1990. kept it for several years as I bounced between that and my ski. first real board was an LF Free 135 which I picked up in I believe 1995 or 1996. wish I still had that one.

My first board was the 02 CWB Absolute shape. That was a great board and very beginner friendly. It was loose enough with a small fin to be fun, but forgiving enough and set a nice edge for a beginner. I had several riders on the boat with more advanced boards who were trying to stick a trick and both times they stuck the trick on the Absolute first.

gdavid, that is the board I learned on! Classic.
My first board that the family bought was the Wake Tech Big Air. After that we got a LF Free 135 in the classic oatmeal color (Train, I still have it!).
Then the first board I bought myself was the O'brien Evil Twin, learned my first inverts on that bad boy.

1) was the Hyperlite BAFF ( Bad A$$ Flying Fish)
2) Waketech Byerly Blunt
3) Blindside - don't remember model
Have more but those are the oldest boards I have.
Best part is I have kept all my boards from over the years from the beginning. They will get mounted in my man cave on day with all my snowboards. Once I have a man cave anyway.lol. Need a bigger house first.

I remember that I had a hyperlite skurfer as my first board, but don't remember the model of it. Just remember that when I first started nobody else was doing it on my lake so I had no idea how to get up....Took me a couple of hours of being dragged around on the board to be able to stand up.

Before I got my Hyperlite Charge, I used to ride a directional red HO board (tri fin) with sandal bindings behind a Sea Doo. It was awesome.
