From reading a lot of different posts on this site, I have gotten the impression that Fat Seats have a lot of cons. But today I met this guy that absolutly loves his.

What are some pros/cons/experiences associated with the Fat Seat?

Pros: Gives you the weight and you still have somewere to sit.

Cons: Mine had the seam split (Not from overfilling). Since it is out in the open, I was always concerned about it getting damaged by dropped boards and any other thing that might have a sharp edge. The outside sacks have a protective covering that helps against accidental damage. I always thought about making a cover for it but never got around to it.

I use one and like it a lot. It's less hassle that using multiple sacks, and you get the same results with somewhere to sit. I used mine today, BTW:-) Here's a pic from today of my wake with a mostly full fat seat. I didn't inflate the back, it kind of slides under my seat back.

It gets bigger with a sack in the walk through. This was just with the seat. First time out this year, didn't want to kill myself.
