But seriously. Boat Bun's the Best thread? Yes it was cool but I found the threads that had a story and it grew as the thread did much more fun. The wakeboard instructor was a good example of it. I thought a "Thread of the Year" thread would bring back some of the forgotten story's of 06. There has got to me more thread's

My pimped out X-Star was one of my favorites. The kid with the spider cracked hull X-Star his daddy bought for him. Funny stuff.

I Hate My Malibu. The guy with the muddy build up in his Malibu engine. Then he showed pictures of some sunkin beat up Correct Craft he was going to buy.

The hottest wakeboard chicks is also good stuff. Boat buns is up there.

The epic boat thread that the guy got cought red handed logging in as two different people to bash some epic boat that some girls wakeschool was using. Can't remember where I think Canada.

This thread should be an annual thread at the end of each year where we all nominate the best threads. Then the top three should have links to them on the home page of WW for everyone to link into and see them. And if any of the nominated threads were deleted then they should be brought back from the dead! I'm sure David has them somewhere......... The last post or posts that caused it to be deleted, because we all know that it's usually the last post or posts that cause the problems and the rest of the thread is still acceptable, should be deleted for it's showing due to it's nomination.

Are we all in for that?!? David.....? PLEEEEAAAASSSE!!!!!

I know this would give ME (Like I need anymore! LOL!) reason to visit WW in the winter time. I'm sure the hits go down in the winter for WW. It would be another competition that we all contribute to!

The funniest I saw was the thread with the guy from Russia and the yellow boat in need of a windshield. Everyone was slamming his english at first then after a few comments several of us noticed his friend holding on to the handle while under water. Last came all the comments about his banana hammock. Too funny! Anyone remember the name of it?

Kevin, that's a good plan. Unfortunately, anything I've deleted is gone forever. Usually, I'm so pissed off when some moron has to ruin it for everybody that I just delete the whole thread so that I don't have to deal with it any more. In 2007, I'll will try to use the thread locking function in those situations so that the thread remains, but I still don't have to deal with morons! :-)

It will also provide a link for end of year voting as you suggested.

Why don't we narrow it down to the top five for 2006 and we'll do a vote on the Wake Poll for a week to determine the winner. Then I'll come up with a prize for the person who started the winning thread.

From what I can tell, these are the top five nominees. Should we allow Non-Wakeboarding topics to be included in this list? If so, I think Random Musings would be replaced with Enriched (which I don't remember at all). Let me know what you think.

I like the idea of "Most Controversial Thread" as well. What other categories could we have? Maybe we should call this the "Thread Emmies" or "Golden Globe Threads." Or just keep it simple with "Threads of the Year" or "Thread of the year." However, the last one there doesn't really work for categories. Obviously the number one prize would go to the "Thread of the year" category.
