Does anyone know anything about this boat? Is it a solid boat and does it throw a good wake? What kind of ballast configuration do most of you run?

Other questions I have are if Calabria uses all composite materials in their boats.

Same boat as Pro V, without PureVert. Very good construction. All composite except seat backing. Nice rampy wake. Most run 350# in the lockers and 700# between driver and observer.

Would you compare the wake to an old VLX or old xstar?

There is one for sale relatively cheap with only 65 hours. I was wondering if it would make for a good wake boat, or if I should keep looking for a super sport nautique.

The boat is 23' long and 102" wide. Compare to newer bigger wakeboats. Newer X star, Moomba XLV, Malibu LSV. The wake is big and long with a wider transition. Both VLX and Nautique have vert and more vert(Nauti) with less transition.

The Calabria makes a great wakeboat with lots of room and storage. Very little to no problems. In fact the only problems where the gates sticking on the PureVert which it doesn't have on the VTS. MerCruiser engines, Walter V-drives. Can serviced anywhere.

Hopefully the VTS doesn't have the old crappy Metcraft towers on it. They changed to Boss in late 2002 until 2005.

What is the price?

Yea, it does have that crappy tower you are talking about. Price is right at 20k. I am just looking at it, doubt I will buy it. On the site is says 21.5ft with a 8.5ft beam. I thought it was a 21 foot boat, but if it is 23 feet then I dont want it.

The boat is 21'-8" , 23'-6" with platform. 20k is a great price. But a better tower is a must. Best of luck on a find. And Test drive, test drive, test drive.

Like I said, I dont plan on buying. We are really looking for an older super sport. But I came across this and it looked like a pretty good deal for a vdrive with only 65 hours.
