ok i wakeboard off the back off the boat and i can get about 10 ft of air on a wake jump and i can do a bunch of flips and inverts, will this get easier when i get a cage or a pole or will it throw off my whole wake boardin

It will be alot easier, at first it will be strange, but a tower/pylon will offer you more hangtime in the air.

it's all geometery (sp???)... extending the rope above the boat tends to pull you upwards, instead of back down towards the water.....

About 8% of the tension on the rope is translated into an upward pull due to the hieght of the tower or pole. Not alot, but definately something.
