ordered up my new reg numbers from domednumbers.com today. just wondering what's the easiest way to remove the old one's? any tips or tricks? products to use, etc? thanks in advance.
like denatured alcohol? or like paint thinner? i know i have denatured alcohol around for our granite, but don't think i have any paint thinner. or are talking like acetone? sorry just don't want to have to make another trip to hazordous waste!
acetone will really help get the "goo" off if they're real old stickers, but like jman said that stuff will take off anything, beware of how hard you're scubbing if its colored gel.
heat for the stickers, then buff the rest with your usual cleaner wax. dont know if this is the "right way" to do it. but thats how i did mine this year and it worked perfectly.
second on cosmocat. paint thinner/varsol is one of the best products ever invented. wont damage the paint, but always put some polish on just incase, with any of the products. all depends on how old the gel coat is.
