Do you think I can use my wakeboard as a kiteboard?

launching will be a pain and if you crash and the board comes off, good luck trying to get back in your boots while managing the kite. if you just use straps on your wakeboard might work, however, kiteboards are designed to "beat" against the wind while holding a hard edge in both directions, conventional wakeboards have way too much rocker and are simply too wide to make this comfortable while kiting... try it though? to each his own. we buy all our gear through slingshot. check out www.sskites.com for some ideas on gear.

hey andrew.
what board do you use for wakeboarding ??
depends on the rocker of your board, before i got my kiteboard used to ride a zane 134 with 2.5 fins and best kiteboarding boots, ryan is right to put back your boots while managing the kite is pretty tough, but still managable !! hope it help you

I have a friend who kiteboards, or at least used to, with his old Hyperlite Project. I've also seen a guy wakeboard with his kiteboard. It was like he had a slalom ski on (super fast, edgy not very poppy).

So, I think that you can do it, but in the long run you'd be much better off with the real McCoy.

don t know about the parks andrew, can be real tough to ride, with the built in fins on each side + the deep channel...give it a try but if you can t go upwind just change board because it won t work !
