The local watering hole was full of trees(take a look at the pictures...whole trees were floating around), branches and crap from the recent floods. SO we stayed near camp and hit the slider...

Nice...we weren't exactly on RayBob...more like on one of the tributaries near Rio Vista.

It was a torrent of branches, crap, and even Jet Skis. One floated to our camp site.

Rich said, "One floated to our camp site."

What, a jet ski?

I knew where you were at when I saw the first pics.. we had 2 miles of dam to ourselves for the first 5 hours.. as soon as the sun broke it got crowded fast... its actually ok to say the name of the talk to the bill you were on
Old     (rson)      Join Date: Jun 2002       05-28-2007, 8:48 AM Reply
Yeah an actual Jet Ski with keys floated down. The water was so nasty, no one wanted to take the boats out.

rich where did ya'll put in at? is ham creek open?
Old     (rson)      Join Date: Jun 2002       05-28-2007, 9:22 AM Reply
Put in at Kimball. The river has one heck of a current now.

At Ski Ranch the ramp was nasty and muddy. I almost couldn't get out of the campsite cause it was rutted out and all soft mud and dirt. I literally had to gun it and pop up through to mud. It was baaaaddd.

so ham creek would be under water! I know we need the rain but when it's that bad there, it needs to stop!

True....

The river was hell yesterday, The current was incredible. The only reason we went out was to get some pics of T and T-dog. His boat, his prop.

As for Ski Ranch, they let anyone in for 10$

You see that stick next to the slider....the whole river was like that.

The only brave person was Tony....we figured it it broke he would be the one to fix it. So that made it ALRIGHT. :-)

BTW, his VTX was bad !.

Rson on drugs,we took a set early Saturday until debris caused the prop to vibrate, had to clean it out, all good, sunday was worse.

Hey B,
you get your boat out?

We had to pop out of muddy "trail" through the trees. It was soooo rutted and muddy. I basically gunned it and popped out of the trail. Jenny screamed the whole way.

We had a blast!!!!

That is a VTX not a Silver VLX.

The board is a Roam with scout bindings

Never been there on a busy weekend but it seems to me even without the current and mud it could get ugly down there with to many people.

why would any one respect you? you can't even ride a wakeboard! you come on here and talk game but thats really all you do with wakeboarding is talk.. why don't you strap on a wakeboard throw your camera away and stop being a d?
Old     (eubanks01)      Join Date: Jun 2001       05-29-2007, 8:54 AM Reply
We rode all day on Saturday with no problems. Sure there were bad spots and trees but that's why you just ollie them! (unless you crash doing an ollie and get debris all in your eyes...not naming names of course)

Shane - I guess you didn't realize I was the "Hey, nice boat!" guy. I like your new ride...I was surprised to see you taking it out with all that stuff in the water!
Old     (auto)      Join Date: Aug 2002       05-29-2007, 9:06 AM Reply
damn, wondered who that was.

Sunday seemed worse, actually got some heavy vibration due to branch log caught between wedge, prop rudder.

why the hatred for rson? damn hata's.

Sorry my A-holeness runs deep.

Since you are so concerned that I go and ride I have made maps to the river for all my boat owning buddies. I'll be there with my board, lots of beer, aspirin and my trusty Camera. Thanks for the encouragement.

Says Eubanks: "We rode all day on Saturday with no problems."

Aside from running the boat out of gas 1/2 mile from the ramp. Dang Bill... if only we wouldn't have given you that set!!!!

I guess running over 2K of ballast in a 2001 all day will do that... Who were the guys that towed us in? Crazy cool people in a black/tan Malibu.

those where the guys that picked us up monday . Extremely nice people .Pretty sure it was a vlx or vtx though .Not sure of the difference , but is was an 04 bu v-drive . Claimed that none of there friends from the metro area wanted to come hang out and they was lookin to meet new people to ride with .Well they found at least 2 more to have on the boat . The talk to the bill must have came up more sunday night cuz KB ramp was closed and had a tree laying across the ramp , and all the access docs i saw where under water . Good day ridin monday though .

Nope, it was a 2004 VLX. The guys were very cool and have a house down there. I think they are actually from Austin.

Yeah, I forgot about that whole running out of gas thing! I meant we didn't have any problems with the debris...for the most part.

Yep, you let Bill on your boat and bad things always seem to happen. I tried to warn you Froese.

Up by Ski Ranch. I am sure that it normally is a few feet in the air....or even out of the water later in the year.

Pretty nice to see someone getting use out of the funbox that WE spent hours constructing and our money to build.

Don't mind Trevor hitting it up........but as far as providing directions/maps to that place I'm not a big fan. Lots of us spend big money to have lots there and to just give out directions is pretty cheap in my opinion.

At least those of us that ride can respect the desire to keep the water good.

The Stoney LaRue looking guy is Heath. That's his dark blue & black VLX.

Damn I feel like I was the only one not hitting your slider down south Zack. Where are you by the way? Still in LA? How are you liking it down there?
Old     (bill)      Join Date: Feb 2001       05-29-2007, 3:23 PM Reply
gene its Htown not LA..

zach i agree its people who dont ride much, just take pics, dont pay for the lots and doesnt even own a boat to take it upon themselves to out others projects he had nothing at all to do with..total lack of respect for those who do all the above and try and preserve something nice and not publically out it and take credit for things he has nothing to do with..
Old     (matt_c)      Join Date: Sep 2006       05-29-2007, 4:44 PM Reply
Its actually my fun box/rail that I built and paid for in front of my lot. And Zack did help me build it.

I will say this, I'm not the "lurker fan". Nor do I know who posted that.

But I did delete the pics off DWB. Because I dont want just anyone going up there to mess it up, or get hurt on it. When you create a thread/post on DWB it just opens it up for discussion to the whole Dallas area and 1000's of people, most of which I dont know. Then everyone wants to see it and go hit it. And next thing you know its either ruined or broken by someone who doesnt give a sh&%t about breaking it or ruining it for the people who actually built and PAID for it. Its not theirs, they didnt build it or pay for it, so they dont care that its broke now. They just move on.

I'd just rather not create a thread about it on DWB and open it for discusion.

And when we're down there most people come up and ask if it would be ok if they hit our rails. Not just drive by and do it. Its just a show of respect, I think most anyone who spent the time and money to build something would appreciate that. I know we do.

What part of I just wanted some pics of T hitting it do you fools not get?

Furthermore, When the Brazos River changes its name to "Bill's river cause I own a boat and have a lease" let me know. Last I checked the Corps didn't have issue with non-boat owners hitching a ride.

As for owning a boat....hahahaha not in a million years. When i have time free (which is rarely) The people I ride with have no issue with my financial contribution to their boat payments and help.

I actually keep my boat at Hubbard now. But drag it around periodically. I have been out screwing up the water for your boy Chris Wynn, Asa, Matt, and all those other Hubbard mainstays. I may actually take it to Grapevine for the Randy Harris WBC deal on Thursday.
