Thanks Christie.

I don't recall what I was itching at the end there.

Cliff,
Quit tapping the board and grab it! Also you keep casing the wake? Ride all the way through it!

Christie, Good to see everyone riding!

Since you mentioned casing the wake, Christie, you might want to shorten up on ur line just a bit till you are landing out in the flats. When I saw you landing on top of the wake I kinda winced... bad memories of another video I guess.

In Every Case, no pun intended, if you case the second wake, you didn't ride all the way through the wake on edge.

yeah, seeing you case the wake makes me cringe everytime. shorten up the line and work on technique of goin' up instead of out. just remember, longer line isn't always the solution.

not always true. there's always the "standing tall" factor.

Yes it is true Joseph, if you don't stand tall and edge all the way through the wake you will line drive it and clear the second wake! You won't have any pop but you'll clear it.

Hahn,

I was riding too far out on those (80+handle). I came in to my normal 75 and 22.5 on my second set. My riding improved once I got used to the vert on her wake, and dialed the speed and length in. I can't ever get bent over far enough to grab when I'm wearing my dry suit. Is that enough excuses for you.

I have some excuses too. I was riding on a much shorter rope, but as much as I hate to admit it, I was just plain being a Wuss. I wasn't holding my edge nor standing tall and I was letting go of the rope.

The pain is still too fresh in my mind. I can hear Umali now "Suck it up, Fisher!! Commit!!"

Cliff - Maybe that itch was the beginning of the Delta Funk...we told you about the water

i wouldn't say that...well, not after an injury, anyway.

I guess someone didn't get the memo.... "The water's too cold to be wearing shorts!!!!" hehehe

Christie - good to see you riding again!

Christie, I like that photo u have on your profile. How long have you been wakeboarding? U & I r about the same age, it's kewl to see someone the same age ripping in up like that. U had a knee injury right? I ruptured my petela tendone two years ago and I think my problem is all mental at this point. I totaly favor my good knee.

Daniel - Thanks! I have been wakeboarding now for three years.

Yes, I did injure my right knee. Actually, I fractured my tibial plateau (wakeboarding) in April and have had two surgeries to repair the damage. The latest surgery was in August so I am just trying to get back into riding. My leg still hasn't healed all the way yet...I can't even walk up and down stairs well yet.

This sport is definitely as much mental as it is physical and once you have been hurt (especially at our age ), it takes a while to get back into it again.

Darn, I wish I was 20 again...lol!
