I want to CHEAPLY and EASILY create a fin attachment system that will allow me to adjust the toe-in of a set of fins.

There is a DIY set here, but it seems overkill. I just want to adjust a few degrees, figure out what works best and then note that.

4 ways work, but don't meet the definition of cheap OR easy to get.

This is the concept - looking down on the fin from ON HIGH :-)

Solution suggestions?

The first thing that comes to mind is something similar to how a snowboard binding works? Maybe you could salvage some old parts and make something work out of that.

Jason! That's a great idea. I can just epoxy a flat plate with a bazillion holes in it and two t nuts epoxied into the board...then like you say, rotate it and screw it back down. I can even use a coutersink and flat head screws.

MAGIC! Thanks!

i dont know what angles you are looking for but snowboard bindings adjust by 3 degree incriments

Good point - when I set the grid out I can only get something like 3 degrees of rotation - I need something smaller like 1/4 degree - I wonder if I can apply the same concept but have it just clamp down rather than thru bolt so that the rotation can be minute.

Install onto or into the board a clamp like you find on the top of a camera tripod designed to pan. Mount the fin to the post that fits into the clamp and you can rotated it any amount quickly.

Normally the clamp is on the rotating portion and the post is fixed on the tripod. You just need to fiddle to attach it all with the fin on the post.
