I would like to replace all of the open cell egg crate foam inside the engine cover and stern engine bay wall.
Does anyone have a source for closed cell foam that will not suck-up water and still provide good sound dampening?
Thanks! Scott

These are a couple of real solutions. If you are looking at products see if they give you an STC rating. The higher the rating the more dB reduction and they have to test a product to get those numbers.

I'm sure there are lots of other products too.

Everyone Thank you for your input!
Looks like the 1 3/8" foil faced multi-density foam will work on the engine box and wall.
What type of insulation product do you see used on direct or V-drive engine compartments?
