"Test" background: I'm 43. Ride 2-4 times, 2-4 hours, a week. Boat's a Moomba Mobius LSV, with 165 hours, with about 1200# of ballast. Most of the time, hs, I'm bimini to tower high; toeside (don't ask) I get across w2w or 180. For the first "30" hours, used a 01 Motive/Belmonts; Next "130" hours used Trips Balsa/Belmonts; then a couple hours on the Trips with Zeus then Zeus with 03 140 Absolute.

The Zeus/Absolute combo lands softest, by far. Cased the wake a couple of times; felt like I was landing on sponges.

Jumped off a chair with a 03 Parks on one foot and the Zeus on the other. Zeus softer.

Hey, this stuff matters at my age!!! I also heard that the new Hyperlite TFD (continuous rocker with center spine) and the Parks board also land soft.

Anyway, thought this info might be helpful.

Agree....I have been on a few boards also...now have the 2003 absolute and 2002 belmonts. I have never had a hard landing. I am sure we will see more boards with deeper centre beams...I think the 2004 byerly now has a deeper one.

great... I own a 03 absolute since last december and have ridden about 5 min on it... I haven't even done a wake to wake jump... in fact, I shouldn't have ridden it yet... I bought it a month before I learned my ACL was torn during last season... in rehab since mid april and it's nice to learn that it lands soft...
