hey just a quick question
im i guess a beginner-intermediate
can clear the wake and land a bs 3 every now and then
but my 08 one 137 just cuts way too slick for me and looking for a board with just a little more pop :-)

but any ideas?
im 5 8 and weigh 145 should i go with a smaller board too?

try a slingshot recoil - tons of pop and you can turn the edges to make it as fast/slow as you want on edge.

I ride the recoil too and am loving it

its very fast

Ibex isn't much slower.... pop is great but still quite fast

There are others too, but I love love love my recoil, it is a flex-board so if you have a chance demo one

i would highly suggest demo'ing the recoil before purchasing. while you're at it, demo the liquid force shane, too.

and on the size.
should i stay like around the 137-139 area
or go down to a 135?

The Company Severance 138 would probably fit the bill too. I just went from the Ibex to that and there is no going back. It is also flex and I'm loving the softer landings and it has just as much pop as the Ibex.

If you can, take a look at the CWB Transcend as well. It's a loose board but has fin extensions that allows you to adjust the grip and release from the wake.

look at the rocker of the board ...anything with a bigger rocker around 2.8-3 will be slower.... the one is 2.62 i think. the transcend 2.92 and marius 3.02, slingshot recoil 2.7 or more if your flexing it, while it isnt the only factor its the most important.

that will be personal preference......both are good, but you can def ride a 134 or 135 especially the marius....if you want a ride that will keep you in control and give you a stable platform with tonssss!!!! of pop try the marius 134.
