we are looking into getting a new x star and are wondering if anyone knows if it will fit into a normal height garage.

What do you consider a normal height garage. I believe with the tower down, most of these boats (even the bigger ones) will fit in a 8' tall garage door opening.

You will probably need an 8' door or higher for almost any wakeboat with a tower.

oops forgot.. I had to take off the platform and foldaway tongue to even come close and still had to bow out the garage door and hacksaw a piece off. I think the garage is 24 feet deep

what you could do is get a trailer dolley so that you can lower the trailer and that could give you as much as a foot? most garage door openings on a track home is 7'

I have a 7' door height and my 22V fits in with the tower lowered by 1/2". I need to back the boat in with a 8" drop hitch to clear the door, but it does clear. I would believe an Xstar would also fit, as the Tige' has some tall gunnels and my trailer is not lowered at all.

We didnt like the idea of having to fold the tower
after every day at the lake, so unless you can build a 12 ft addition to you house garage, we has this built for our 04 x-star
Specs are 12*12*28 feet
We also added lights to the inside, makes it nice at night for clean ups or just working on the boat

Kevin ~ if you don;t mind me asking... how much did that thing cost you? and do you have any problems with the wind.

What up Bug??!!!!
All in all , parts and install was $2,200.00
And worth every penny.
You cant see it in the pics, but at 2 opposite
corners are these super stromng guide wires that
create a tremendous amount of structual rigidity and strength.
Also the system uses 8 legs for support, not 6 like most and also is hard mounted to 2 foot deep concrete slabs. Also the cover is double walled for
excellent water resistance. Beleive me this thing
as no problem handling wind or rain. Remember those rains we just had. No prblems after those storms.
Needless to say we are happy with this type of storage system. Plus I am not rich enought to have
a real garage built. At least not yet..LOL

This is the garage. My father did some measurements and he is confident that the opening can be modified to accomadate the new boat. That is, if he decides to get it

It looks like you will have to widen and make the garage longer and maybe a little taller?
The new x-stars are alot wider than the old body style.

it's 14' wide and 30' deep it looks small in the pictures but there's plenty of space to walk around especially towards the back.
