For those of you who happen to have a camping trailer or RV I have found the best place to ski in Jersey. I used to wakeboard on Lake Hopatcong but if you have ever been there you know its like riding in the ocean with huge swells.

Lake Paulinskill a small 3 mile private lake about 15 minutes north of Hopatcong, provides glass almost daily. If there is a boat out there other than myself on the weekends it is really rare.

There is a campground/rv park named www.windyacresnj.com it has lakefront and non lakefront sites and a private launch to get on the lake (I have a lakefront spot with a dock). Now the kicker....1800 a season!! what a great price to have a second home in the summer. The last thing NO JETSKIIS allowed! :-)

check it out.

Tim, is this a new campground? I've seen Paulinskill before (years ago) and didn't think they allowed powerboats, is the lake now privately owned? Are you tied in to this whole scene somehow?

Anyway, I'd be up for keeping my trailer there and bringing the X-star up on weekends.

I would be up for using Dave's trailer on weekends.

This is really interesting, and very cool. I have been to places like this, but not in NJ. We will all have to keep our eyes open to this in the 09 season.

Hi all,

The campsite has been around for over 30 years I believe. And yes it allows motorboats, its a private lake community which the campground is part of. My Malibu is docked right outside of my camper! I do not own the campsite just have two lakefront spots.

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Even if you dont get a lakefront spot it is super easy to launch and you can morn it out in the water also.
