I just bought 600' of 7/64" rope from Redden Marine. I'll be giving it a try tomorrow. Here's the link:

I'll try to post a pic of the rope shortly.

I rode a 75' section of my new winch rope today... It's all good, especially at $.13/ft. Should work great for any winch application.

If you're not in a hurry, I'll be selling my rope shortly... I just bought it to get us by, as we wait for Bullet to finish their production. If you want it, I'll sale it for $50 shipped (600').

Thanks for the info Blake.

What's the deal with Bullets new production? What is it exactly?

They're making a rope specifically for winching. It'll be coated, like A-Line, and I believe they said it glows in the dark. Other than that, I don't remember what all seperates it from any regular rope. You should hear more, shortly... They've been advertising it a lot.

Timmay,

We are in the process of developing the first mainline specifically for winching. The rope is 1/8" dyneema with coating; it will glow. The coating is to protect against abraision, and the glow is to help find the line when winching in the surf. This rope will come in 1200' reels, and will cost .25 per foot.

Email me if you have further questions, or you can pre order. Our first reels will be very limited in supply, and about 1/2 have already been purchased.

Thanks,

Ken Land
