Replacement of my impeller last night. No suction. Everything is good back through the strainer(put a hose there and it pulls through without issue).

So I am having issues somewhere between the intake and before the strainer.......I assume????

Or would the pressure from the hose be the same as what the impeller would be doing????

If a warranty item, I would just take it to the dealer and let them figure it out. But a "maintenance" item, I would prefer to work out myself(well, myself with help from a boat savvy friend).

Side note, not even 100% sure who the shop locally is now. Nautique dealership just changed.....which is unfortunate, because I have a good relationship with the previous shop(bought 2 boats from them)....

EJ,could it be chunks of the old impeller that are creating a blockage? If so, they need to be flushed out.

for some reason, the broken fins end up on the lake (strainer) side of things. Doesn't make sense with water constantly running the other way, but it is what it is.

The water comes from the intake through a shutoff valve up a 1 inch hose approx 1 foot to a T with 1 barbs on each end and a 1 inch thread. Then continues another 1 foot to the strainer. Now from the strainer it pulls water in when the hose is held up to it. From the strainer it goes to a splitter type cylender and then to the impeller. It would be impossible for an impeller fin to be in the strainer. Now I know what is being thought, the T valve has a loose connection or one of the hose clamps on the valve or the connection to the intake is loose? Checked every thing and could not find any loose conections. We back flushed the system and did get quite a few impeller parts out of it. The water was flowing freely through the system after the impeller. Its weird it will not suck from the fake a lake?

Would that be possible, being that with the hose hooked up prior to the strainer, water flows out the exhaust like a waterfall?

No way parts of the impeller could get back past the strainer could they???? That is a LONG ways, through a lot of hose....going the opposite way of the water flow...

Then again, I don't know much about this stuff...depending on help and advice from others....
