Anyone know how to down size a photo so it can be added to the user profile?

I want to add a photo of my boat but it say's it's to large to add?

Help....

When you open your picture, which program opens it?

It say's adobe photoshop.
The photo is a jpeg.

->Programs
-->Accesories
--->Paint
---->File/OPEN ( select your photo )
----->Image ( stretch/skew )
------> chang the horizontal/vertical from 100% to 50% for both h & v.
------->File/Saveas Name.jpg

open the file with Paint.

Go to image. Then stretch / skew.

You can to it in PS, but I can't tell you how.

Aaron, i was having the same problem as mike. i did exactly what you said, and when i tried to do it, it said this:

Picture upload error

The picture you upload must be a GIF or JPEG image. The file you uploaded had a MIME type of "image/bmp".


what do i do now?

try the Image resizer power tool.
it will let you pick the size ( 600 x 500 )

Brad,

no worries, the problem is going to be the type of file you are trying to save... Repeat all of te above steps, and when you are saving your photo make select file the "SAVE AS TYPE" as a .JPEG - see below:
