(Off Topic) Boat Dock Pipe Paint?

Sorry for the off topic post but with the wealth of knowledge on this forum I thought I would give it a try. I am building a dock and decided not to go with hot dipped galvanized pipe and just want to paint the pipe to help it last a little longer. What type of paint?

Use Coal Tar Epoxy paint and apply with a roller. Wear gloves and cover everything that you don’t want paint on because you can't get this stuff off. Used to rebuild Industrial water pumps for fresh and salt water. The pumps are mild steel and the coating would outlast the life of the seals and wear bands on the pump. Like 10+ years of service submerged.

I used POR - 15 on mine years ago and have done nothing to it since. It labor intensive but works great. http://www.por15.com/

Pete, I will be happy to post pics and the blue prints. I am paying someone to pound the pipe and the rest will be done by me. I'll keep you or anyone else interested updated.
