I've narrowed down my search to hyperlite premier 135 or belmont 131 biolite boards. And either belmont, highback or parks bindings. I want a board that will inspire confidence. As far as bindings i would just like something to fit snugly on my skinny arse ankles. Info: I'm 5'9" 140lbs pretty much a beginner, no tricks just w2w and can wakeskate. I ride behind a 96 searay with a monster tower. Any ideas or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance, Josh

What's up Josh, I'm the same height and weight as you, and I'm currently riding a LF substance 141, with Large LF Ultra Suctions. They make the substance in a 136 which might suit you well. The substance rides a lot like a premier except it's a tad faster and it has much more pop. My ultras are tightened down and they fit really well on my "skinny arse ankles." If you want something to support your ankle more give the exo's a look too. I had the exo's and rode 'em for a while but went to the ultra's cuz I wanted more mobility.

Demo LF,CWB, D-UP, etc. You never know what you'll like. I've ridden CWB for my last four boards, all while demoing several other brands including Hyperlite. Bindings are sure hard to beat though.

no I haven't moved yet. Once again I'm at the mercy of the company. I may have to hit you up for an end of June trip. I'm headed to mead this weekend, and I don't know what's going on next weekend....Needles? Martinez? I'll be in touch. Paula - I think I already told you this but your profile pic is pretty tight.

well... I tried the Premier 135 and I thought it had good enough pop for me and tracked and handled really well. :P I also tried the belmonts, which had awesome ankle support but they made my feet hurt(had med/large). I think i'm going to try large's next time and maybe try out a parks or substance board. Do you guys think i should try the 131 or stick with the bigger 135.Thanks a lot guys!

I have ridden a a few different boards now. And, I would have to say my favorite is my LF Substance. It holds a nice edge and has a great pop off the wake. I cant complain about it, it perfect.

Absolute. Try it, you won't be dissapointed. I sold my Premier as soon as I tried the Absolute.

How does the absolute and the substance compare to the edging, landing and the pop of a premier. Meaning, I don't want anything "over my head".
