Dammm. This guy is asking $1000 for a amp that cost $550 new 3 years ago. Dont get me wrong they are sweet amp's but WTF.

If any one knows of a amp with the kind's of stats of a orion XTR 2400 let me know.

They are 0.003% thd
2400 watts in 1 ohm's
1600 watts in 3 ohm's
1000 watts in 4 ohm's

I agree, sweet amp, but not that sweet. I have an XTRPRO 1000 I might swap into my boat to replace the HCCA250 I have on subs.

I know a guy that has a bunch of Orion boards, and has some XTRPro stuff. I don't know if he has any 2400s, but i can hit him up.

Grant, are you not a fan of Rockford Fosgate? As far as high powered sub amps go the T30001bd is hard to beat. Don't know if you're having a hard time finding the XTR 2400 but here is a link to refurbished ones.

Ryan I looked into the RF-T3000, That amp makes all its power at 1 Ohm. I need a amp that makes power (1500 watts) at 3 Ohm's.

Theres pleanty of 4 thousand and 6 thousand watt SPL amps, but they are sort of out of the question,

Grant, correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't the T30001bd put out somewhere around 1500 watts at 3ohm? Rockford Fosgate claims 1000 watts at 4ohm, 2000 watts at 2ohm. The power series amps have a history of being underrated as well. Hook one up to a 13W7 and tell me how it sounds.

Ya Grant, and as big as it is you could use it for ballast.

Grant,
You might want to check the ARC 2500xxk. Last one I installed was 600 per ch at 2 ohm stereo with less than .003thd

Chris what was the arc 2500xxk at 3 0hm's, and at what voltage?

grant,
Not sure about 3 ohm but would guess about 1500 since its 1200 mono at 4. Can tell you I put 1 to a T1-12 rockford and it was just brutalizing that poor sub. Test voltage was 14.4 Get me a fax and i can send you a birth cert, so you can look it over

i hate to steal the thread but i was just wondering how hard would a jl audio 10w7 with a 500/1 amp pound? would it be really loud of could i do something else that is better for around the same price?

10W7 wants closer to 1000watts. Match a 1000/1 to it and you're in business. If you're stuck with the 500/1 get a 10W6V2 you won't be disappointed.

Just get alot of amps and alot of speakers and some orange LED's and you will be in business. Throw in a LCD screen and now you are really talking. 2 OHM's 4OHM's 1OHM who really cares. Just crank it up!!!!

Ask Grant He is the man!!!

Yo Chris,
The Arc XXk 2500 is only stable to 4 ohms in a mono configuration, I was talking to my rep from Arc about bringing this amp down to a 3 ohm load, and he said that its possible but Arc would have to make me my own amps if i wanted to run them to a W7. I do want to get one and try it out and see what happens.

If your an authorized dealer call and talk to Brad Ott and he can tell you how to lower the rail voltave to make it more stable. I will say that Ive done Quite a few of these amps lower than 4 mono and they still work. Just run a little warmer. If he wont tell you just get one and call me and I'll walk you through it. But if anyone asks it wasn't me.
