Before- the picture doesn't do the damage justice, it's pretty F'd up thanks to the idiots at the twins. HEY, are those Pop bags to the left in the background?

Finished fiberglass underside. The gelcoat doesn't match the gel under the platform, but who's gonna see it?

Hope I gave someone the guts to try some of their own repairs. I had never done anything like this before, and I am very happy with results. The uneven edge will be cleaned up in the morning, it's mostly excess material and will sand down easily. My helper need a diaper change, so we called it a night.

what type of repair materials did you use? your helper seems to approve of the repair in the last pic..

Just a small west marine fiberglass repair kit I had lying around, West Marine gel coat and hardner, some wet/dry sandpaper (140, 220, 400), and 3M rubbing compound. Also some basic paint type tools - mixing sticks, small brushes, mixing/measuring cups.

This guys webshots page pointed me in the right direction.
