My husband and I are relatively new to wakeboarding. His birthday is coming up soon and I would like to get him something that's related to his new "love" (yes, I have now taken second place!). We have a X-star (older model) and my husband just bought a new wakeboard and bindings. Does anyone have any suggestions? ANYTHING would be great!!! Thank you

if he doesn't already have a "newer" spectra rope, i would get him one of those. I love riding with the newer ropes though i still have some of the older wakeboard ropes (low-stretch poly-e) and to me, I can't justify paying $100 for a new rope when I have several good ropes still-- though I would love getting a new one as a gift!

the vest is a good one too, as les pointed out-- if he doesn't have a thin vest like a jetpilot or similar those make great gifts. Vids are always cool, too. I would get a vest or a rope dependng on what he already has and throw in a few vids as well-- one instructional like higher education (again, if he doesn't have one already) and one freeride (like Relentless). hope that helps

How about a gift card to your local board shop? Most probably offer them...ours does, but obviously we are a little out of your area! That way, you show him that you support him in his new "love", but allow him to pick out what he really wants.

"Soap Buddy" (suction cup holder for the binding lube, sticks on the transom. Cheap, but nice gift. A gallon of binding lube. Neoprene ski vest. I second the good ("spectra", straightline, etc.) line idea. Handles are a bit tougher, too much personal perference involved. Fat Sac (unless the boat has plenty of built in ballast. A really fast pump for the fat sac.

Wakeboard lessons from a pro. There should be some available on the Delta, or absolutely on Lake Shasta.
