I am about to start wiring in my light bar and I was wanting to wire it where two lights face forward and and 4 face backward and have them set up to where I can control them both seperatly.
My question is if I have a three rocker switch where I can have the front ones on, the back ones on, or all of the off, do I need to have two relays? Or would it be easier to put in two swithes with there own relay, where one works the front lights and one works the back and wire them up completely seperate of each other?

It all boils down to amps ... its not that great of an idea to let the switch take all the load. Wire up the relays, and let them take the load, then let the switch turn the relay on and off. So, the best way is wire 2 relays, one for forward, and one for backward facing, and then hook them up to the switch how you want them. I wired 2 relays to 2 switches, so I could have them both on at the same time, and not be limited to just forward or rearward facing.
