Never had any experience with the Cells but they definitely look to be good boots and the Lyman is one of my favorite decks. Sweet setup!

Yeah this is my first experience with the cells and I like em. Very stiff which is new for me, but I kind of like the extra support. I have yet to try the lyman on the water so hopefully I will like it. I've ridden the shane for the last few years and decided to switch it up a bit.

I have the same set up, almost, 08 Cells on an 08 Lyman, 2 seasons later and I still love it, though the Cells have lost a lot of their stiffness. My set is all black but the white looks good.

^^^^^^ lol, way to try to instill some buyers remorse on the guy. don't worry Vandy, I havent dealt with broken laces with them at all. not saying that it won't or doesn't happen. i've had broken laces with nearly every binding i've ever owned (slingshot, liquid force, obrien...happens to them all). good thing they only cost a buck or two!

I put some pretty heavy riding on my Cells in the latter half of last season, and in some NASTY cold water too and they are still CRISPY WHITE, fully laced, and thanks to the antimicrobial inside, smell fresher than a field of wake related daisies!!!!!!!

I have the 09 lyman ltd with 08 Ronix one bindings. Love it. I came from the Ronix one and love the lyman. Very fast and soft on the landings. I like it becuase it is way more loose than the One but holds a good edge when you set it.

laces can break on any binding, it doesnt matter what brand, laces are laces. All you do is just put some shoes laces on them after the factory ones break and there ya go, good as new! shoe laces tent to hold better anyway

Yeah I'm not too worried about the laces. Plus even if they do break it will give me an excuse to throw some neon green laces in there to match the board...

JT, where did you get the laces from? I'm thinking of switching out mine as well for the green. Are they very hard to switch?

I looked on amazon and I just got 54" laces, which two laces come with it, cost me $9 for both...and its not hard to switch out the laces...just like when you lace shoes
