Not really sure if this is the place for this, but the classifieds has changed bit and I am really not selling something. If not please let me know.

My syn 4 is pretty much brand new. Was powered up a couple days. Still has all the original packaging. Police ended up finding some of my stolen gear so now I have some extra stuff. Looking to trade straight up. Just have a buddy in need of Syn 2 who is willing to buy one. Fig I try and help him out this way and save him some cash. While I know the Arc Audio stuff is similar he really wants Syn 2 in order to match his current stuff.

Thanks in advance

I have a syn2 I would trade you, but I cant think of an instance where you would need a syn2 instead of a syn4...

My buddy picked up a pair of used Pro 60's and the Syn 4 is waaaay to much amp for them. Its over double the rms required to push them. They require 150rms each and the Syn 4 bridged is 400rms each channel. So the Syn 2 at 200rms each is a much better fit. Its always nice to have the extra power, but I can't see a way off the top of my head to wire just two without being over double the required rms. While I know Wetsounds stuff likes a bit more power than rated i am thinking this much extra would be harmful to the speaker. Maybe I am missing something tho. Stereos are definitely not my expertise

Leave the gains low. It'd work fine on a single pair.

The syn 4 puts out 200 Watts X 4. I would just use 2 channels and leave the other channels empty. Save it for the upgrade when he wants 2 more speakers, which you know will happen. 200 Watts on a pro 60 would get the most out of it, as long as tuned properly.

no, it only puts out 90x4 @ 4 ohms (or is it 100?). It will do 200 x 4, but only at 2 ohms, which the pro60's aren't. So he will need to bridge.
