Tonight I went out to check the brake fluid in my actuator because I have been having brake issues lately and will have to get a new axle after blowing a bearing last year. Tonight when I checked the fluid it was basically orange and gunked up big time!!! so basically the brakes are shot. So i guess my options are:
a. Replace the actuator, since I doubt it can be saved and replace the brake lines since I am sure they are cruded up. I also have to give my brakes a good cleaning since they still dirty from the blow out.
b. Swith to electric brakes. This seems to be cheaper since I can get new electric brakes for $70 through work and a new coupler for about $20. An actuator and lines will run about $150.

Just wondering what some opinions may be. My suburban is already wired for electric brakes so I already have the controller mounted in the cab.
