I'm always over winter, but I'm in no hurry for summer, since I won't be riding anyway, I'll be itching for summer of '07 though.

I got one for ya....this may not seem like a cool thing to anyone on here but I was digging it. I just got back from Sanantonio, it was in the 80's the whole time I was there. I drove down to Corpus Christi on Monday and then down to S Padre Island. I was laying on the beach 78 degrees the water was probabbly around 68-70 body surfed for a while...got back in my car around 4:00 sun shining..windows down sun roof open...cruising down the road with a cool breeze, flick on the radio and one of my all time favorite songs comes on....Chevy Van by Sammie Johns.....Can I just say it doesnt get any better then that....So I got back to Oregon today got off the plane in my shorts and tee shirt and was welcomed by rain and about 40 degrees....talk about a reality check. But to answer your questions Joe....I am soooooo ready for summer

Ya I'm over it big time. I tell you what pisses me off more than winter itself.....these perfect early Spring days when the sun is bright, sky is blue and clouds are fluffy.....and the temp is around 52 with light winds that make it feel more like 45, and the water is still around 50 and full of whitecaps. I would expect more from a day like that than what we're getting now. BUT....Saturday is supposed to be 80!!! wooooooooo!

Daniel, Ha! Great time in Texas, I'm sure. Just don't move before the houseboat trip. You better get the Shasta weather to cooperate this trip. NO MORE RAIN!! We have been riding all year, but I am so ready to jump in the warm water. Love the drysuit, just tired of it!

I used to really hate the winter, but now that I have the combination of drysuit and closed toe bindings it is not that bad. I might even venture to say the riding is better (sometimes). With the drysuit I ride with no lifejacet, which really makes grabs easier. The falls arent too bad, even softer, with the drysuit. No more frozen toes. Cold hands and face I can handle. Flat water is the biggest bonus. But DAMN, there sure are alot of fishermen out there in the winter!

That's why I moved here. I just couldn't stand the rainy cold winters of the Pacific Northwest. It's a little cold here today. Like 75ish?

Jared, I cannot wait for summer. It hasn't been too bad riding down here in Long Beach, but the whole aura of summer is the best thing. If you are ever up in nor cal this summer, maybe taking a break from mike's camp, you, derek and I should get together and ride. Anyways, take it easy man

I am still waiting for Nor Cal to warm up a little. Snow was down to 500 feet last night which is unusual for the Bay Area. bRRRR....well only a couple more weeks until Spring officially starts.

Snowing again this morning in the Sierra Nevada foothills. About 3 inches at my place. Trying to recover from major back surgery and using the "spring is coming" thought as a motivator is not working with this weather. now, they are saying another cold wet storm is coming in for tomorrow. Wonderful.

i love the winter. dont have to share the water with anyone else. you dont have to worry bout too many people in the boat and not enuf time to get a seccond ride. i learn the most tricks in winter because i have a wetsuit on and take harder falls without them hurting. wetsuits are like a layer of blubber. hahaha.

its going to take a while for the waters to warm up this year. As of now we got freezing waters, freezing air temps, low snow elavation, and lots of rain. I am still ridin but the cold is hittin me like knives. I just wish for a jet stream shift or something to change these weather conditions back to a warmer climate temp.

I'm also in GA. I'm still waiting for the cold water that erin mentioned to calm down a bit. Water is only 53F up at Hartwell. When it gets nearer to 60F, I'll be out there. Looking at historical temperature swings, it'll probably be around 60F in two weeks assuming no big rainy cold snaps in the meantime.

I was over winter December 21st! There are two months I can live without, January and February! Come on Spring!!!!!! We're only a week away. But then again, that's only a technicality. But it's encouraging none the less.
