snow surfing

ok - this is a totally dorky goofball pic, but couldn't resist. we just got back from a three week trip visiting friends and family in CA and Utah. Of course i got to use my latest board in the surf in So Calif, but had to put it on the snow.

All in all we drove about 4500 miles from Austin, to Socal, Norcal, then to Utah and through Nev, AZ, NM and back to TX (with two kids under 2 in the back to keep us "entertained"). We got lots of funny looks with the board on top of the trusty rodeo as we traveled through snow country. :-)

You just made it out Matt - we had a huge dump the last two days - something like 5-6 feet of freshies! I-80 was closed for a LONG time.

You have to love a road trip that includes snow and surf. :-)
