I'm putting a ballast system in my dad's boat now. He's got an 01 wakesetter, and there isn't hardly any room down by the engine to place the pumps. can you put the pumps in the vdrive lockers and will they till pump. I think the water flowing in from the through hull would be enough to feed the pump. any experience with this? thanx ryan

You could make it work, but finding a way to fit all the fill pumps below the waterline would be much better.

you might try doing a "mock up" of a manifold like this, the pvc parts are cheap. Take all the dividers out of the compartment and get in there and try different placements. There is probably some room, you just have to get creative.

Don't put the pumps in the V-drive lockers. They will have trouble priming and pumping (unless you have a intake scupper and you are moving). There should be plenty of room in the engine compartment...it just takes a little planning.

as mentioned, they would be hard to prime and keep primed. they will fit in there, just try some different designs}
