Well, I had some time off this week, so I started the install... I have been buying components over the last few weeks, and the majority of the stuff is here now...

I'm a complete rookie at this, but I like to build stuff so I thought it would be fun to try and do most of the work myself...

This is my first sub box EVER... And I have to say, it's not quite as easy to build as I thought it would be.

My first blunder was putting the first coat of resin on without mixing any hardener... NICE! Rookie mistakes! I had to scrape it all off and add some hardener to it.. UGH.

The area under the helm is massive, so there is plenty of room to build a box to spec per the JL Audio website. I'm building the ported one...

I'm still up in the air about weather to show off the sub and the box, of use the facade that was there before so it will be hidden...

Will there be any difference in the bass if the sub is firing into my knees VS into the starboard side of the boat?
