It's taken a while but I finally put the finishing layers on the Night Rider. It seems like every coat that I put on is a sanding coat. I sanded the first deck glass coat so much I had to put on a second one. However I only put the gloss coat from the pin line to the outer edge and the nose. Then I put on a second bottom glass coat. I sanded the gloss with 220, 320, 400, 600, 1200, and 2000. Then I use 3M to buff the bottom and up to the pin line. I left the inside top deck unpolished so that the Hula Deck coating would have a mechanical bonding interface.

I still need to find a seal, I need to put a finish on the box lids, and I need to apply a conformal coat on the electronics. I’ll post up more pictures of the finished product soon.
