We started the wakesurf season off this year with the Lake Norris Ice Breaker on April 20, 21, and 22nd. Join us as we wind down the season at the Lake Norris Season Extender. See the Ice Breaker Posts: http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/87668/439290.html?1177434962

We’re planning on testing the Midwest entries for the East vs. West Challenge for '07 aka “Don’t call me late for dinner” ultra light wakesurf board building contest at the Season Extender. My entry: http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/87668/497879.html?1189303404

I’ll bring three Trick Boardz, two Inland Surfers, a Broadcast 5.6, the “Light Stick”. I’ll give away a demo Cyber Shapes surf board as well. I expect that other riders from Ohio will bring a Shred Sticks Ja Mako, A two to three Walzers, a Walker Project Composite X, a New Wave Vehicles board, and more.

We’ll have a Centurion Avalanche and an X2 at the Season Extender. Unless there’s a lot of riders and since the Avalanche is such an awesome wakesurf boat I’ll leave my Mighty Centurion Lightning back home.

I'll drive down Friday, arriving before dark. We plan to start from the Spring Dock Resort Saturday morning. Sunday morning we’ll meet out on the water. In the evenings we’ll either hang out at Roy’s or if the group is large will hang out at one of the resorts. Here’s some navigation info from Roy:

“Norris Lake is located in Lafollette Tn. It is easy to get to Norris. You take Interstate 75, 24 miles into Tennessee and then exist. The two closest resorts are the Shanghai Resort and the Spring Dock Resort: http:// www.shanghairesort.com/ and http://www.springsdock.com/. The Marinas are full service marinas. Accommodations should be easy to come by this time of the year and the rates are around $80 a night to stay at the marinas in a small condo/cabin or motel. Larger houses and condos can be rented for a larger group.”

If your interested email me at Bigshow1960@yahoo.com, it would be a good idea to exchange cell

This is going to be an informal gathering of wakesurfers, though we might set up for wakeboarding if there’s any demand. I know we have a pretty good crew from Ohio heading down to that land of sun, fun, and untaxed liquor. So let’s enjoy summer in October and beat the heck out of winter.

The season extender will be a great time. We will have a JaMako, 4'9" Broadcast, Trick Boardz Surf Skate (wood), Walzer Alpha/twin, and hopefully Kay's new Calibrated board will arrive by then. Oh, almost forgot, we will also have our entries in the Don't Call Me Late for Dinner Ultra Light Surfboard contest.

I've got a work conflict, one of the boats and crew can't make it so we're going to have to cancel the season extender.
