How can I weight this 215 to make a nice goofy wake?
It has the hard tanks, and front bag, but how much weight will the rear lockers hold?
What are most weighting for a nice goofy wave.

I've got a buddy with a 2008 v215 - surfs goofy. He runs the factory tanks and lead. Not sure how much - I'll ask next time I see him.

It throws a great wave on bother sides. I run 162# in batteries, 375 in lead and a 750 in the surf side locker plus the 500 in the belly.

Out of any boat with flames I would have to say that actually looks ok. Color combo makes it doable. Congrats.

The 215 hull gives just as good a wake goofy or regular. Putting the list in it is important. I run about 1500# in my D215, all water, and even a klutz like me can ride

So where would this thing rank on a level/scale of surf boats? Pretty decent?

It's a very decent boat to surf - puts out a nice wave. At the price you apparently paid - it's a screaming deal.

As soon as I get home, 2 pair rev10, or the wetsounds 3some in white will be on the tower.
But please if we can, can we keep this to a surf thread if possible?

Why are you such a douchebag? Someone else have too much time with your wife, and not leave you enough?

Bigger boats can produce bigger wakes than the V215. However you will not find many wake surfers who would not be happy to ride behind it. It gives a good clean wake on either side and can handle a ton of weight, literally. Some like a higher freeboard but most that have ridden in a Sanger will tell you that it is a dry boat. For a boat under 22' it makes a very good surf wake. (also wakeboard wake and decent slalom wake)
On top of that the V215 is a blast to just drive.

210 is narrower, lower, and one foot shorter than the 215

Assuming this has the stock prop, should I swap props if I plan on surfing?

911 is a great prop to but when I spoke with Acme they felt the 653 was best for surfing applications. When I damaged my prop and had to have it repaired I ran my stock prop and it caused the wave to be noticeably more washy. Not saying that's the case with the 911 though. The numbers on the 653 and 911 are very similar IIRC

None yet. Was just my girlfriend and I fiddling around making sure all is well today after work.
There will be some to come though!
The battery location and boxes may hinder a larger sack, but I believe I'll stuff the rear lockers with 750's+ stock if they will fit.
