Came across this site the other day, www.stereoskis.com. Looks like there is finally someone in the watersport industry that have opened their eyes. Way to go!

I have seen something just like these 2 years ago prior to Herb leaving HO/Hyperlite. My Friend skied for HO, now with Radar, and he was given a pair to test out. It was like a wakeboard, just split in 2. Cool looking but you were still on skis.

This is great, I remember awhile back there was huge talk about the twin tips ski's for the snow and how they are going to compare to a snowboard. I have a feeling you will start to see a lot more of this sport starting to hit the water and then the parks...

It's not as easy as on snow I made a set of skis a few years ago and it's hard. I don't see this sport growing like wakeboarding. The tricks are difficult. Evan I think has one picture of me on them. back rolls and raleys are about he only inverted tricks that I could figure out. But it was hard on the hips when I crashed.

Spins + Twintips = destroyed knees

I wonder if the bindings release like snowskis?

And cue stories of broken legs from these in

5....4....3.....2...

**SNAP**

The only way I would try anything marginally trick-like in a pair of these would require that the binding industry had invested in research and development for release bindings - and had brought a few to market. Which they haven't, and haven't, respectively.

ahhh... the irony of wakeboarders suggesting another sport is too harsh on the knees and legs

gangstar - trust me, I have an open mind and have badly damaged my legs wakeboarding. I also ski, and snowboard, and wakeboard, and waterski.

But the fact remains that snow skiing would be infinitely less safe if it weren't for release bindings. The same goes if you apply this to waterskiing on a set of skis like this that are intended for pretty intense riding. If the goal is to present these wide twin tip skis to compete with wakeboarding, then inverts and spins and - inverted, twisting falls will happen.

That is why I worry.

It looks like the bindings are wakeboard closed toes!

As a twin tip skier that gets around 100 days a year on the mountain, and I can honestly say that snow is my greatest love......

Im not giving up my wakeboard any time soon.

who needs those! i ski/wakeboard/barefoot/showski for the oldest amature waterski show in the nation called, "the min-aqua bats" and i found a pair of shorter EP jump skis from the 70's with low wrap bindings and i have been able to land backrolls off the double-up at 22mph with full wakeboard weight in our mobius. Just hitting the double up without flipping i can get a little bit over tower high. Its crazy!
