14 yrs, though only about 7 of them seriously. the first 3 were just for fun once a week or so. then serious riding at least 4 times a week for about 8 yrs. the past few years i have toned it back and just ride for fun more than anything

I've been riding about 3 years, can ride all year but usually don't in winter (my mates are soft, don't like the cold) but haven't had much time behind the boat lately since it hasn't been going. Got w2w jumps, surface spins and 180s happening and nearly landing tantrums now, just a little further... starting to make some good progress now I've fixed up my edging into and through the wake. I want to start on grabs and 3s soon, waiting for some smooth water... This weekend was impossible, at one point we had tubers and knee boarders pulling circles around our boat.

I have ridden for one year (4 months), and only two months saw any real progression which maxed out at a HS FS 180.

Started in 03 at age 39. I've been hooked ever since. Was a total hack, moved to a lake community where I made friends with the local pro's. Wake 4- 5 times a week in summer and once a month or so in winter. Now I'm a semi hack!!!

about 10 years OR I am gona guess that i have gone wakeboarding on average of a total of 168 days +\- but yet because i want more and should get more. 7 years (- a couple for schooling and missionary time) X 6 months a year X 4 times a month OR once a week average = 168 days now i need some way to account for this snail (me) sliding back down the well every time i rest for the off season. ;)

I had never heard of wakeboarding, until my ex GF's step-dad introduced me to it in the summer of 2007. I've been in love ever since, and we are still buddies.

It seems like most people seem to be landing the good stuff after 3-4 years, with some pretty intense weekly sessions! thanks for the posts It just shows that hard work and pain pays off in the end!!!!

from 1997-1999 i got maybe a total of 5 sets a year. 2000-2006 i didn't ride at all (i knew i wanted to though). finally in 2007 i gradumatated college, bought myself a wakeboat, and have ridin' 9 months a year these last two seasons. time on the water and not being afraid to try new things are really key to seeing the pay off's, at least in my opinion. i know expectations and the definition of "pay offs" will differ vastly between each and every person.

This is my 11th year and I still get my butt kicked on a regular basis but I love it, will continue to love it, and I hope that my body will allow me to love it for many years to come.

Since '96 and 24 years old. My first invert took about 2 years. My first toeside invert (ts front) was first landed in '06, so it took 10 years and being 35 years old to finally get that monkey off my back. Watersports are definitely one of the best ways to spend time with family and friends. Welcome!

Three or four years; I can't remember because of the concussions. I'm too old for this sport, which makes me anxious to go as much as possible. Reality is a couple of weeks of daily riding per year on vacation and once a week on average the rest of the season, which here is April to early October. Not enough riding to really make much progress, but I try to treat it like golf, enjoying what comes and the time spent together with friends and family.

Second year riding...Started in 06 (2 times real late in the season)riding behind a crap boat, sold it and got another, rode pretty hard in 07 and then rode and got better, bought more things in 08...Hopefully 09 will be the good year, hoping for an invert or something..We usually ride every weekend, don't get many chances to get out during the week...hoping to take a week of work this year and board it up...

I've been riding 11 years. Average riding through out that whole time has probably been about once a week in the summer. Took me about 4 years to land some inverts and spins. Then couple years after that started getting some 5s, now I've got some mobes and working on 7s.

Got the first board in 2001 but didn't really ride much, acouple times a year, until 05. I go 2-3 times a week during the warmer months. I have about a 6-7 month season. Just landed my first invert last year and I have landed a 360 twice, but can't land it anymore, maybe next year.

Started late this year. 8-10 days on the water. I can do surface 3's and 1 wake grabs. The last time I was on the water I landed my first W2W. I can't wait to get back out there.
