its move of the year, not NEW move of the year. for all we know someone could blow us away with a ts bs 7 that was just bigger and cleaner than Shanes in the past ...progression isn't adding a spin or a flip, its instilling style, control, etc.. a la Sharpes' ts indy double back roll...

so you started this to argue with people on their opinions and interpretations? If it's not adding a spin or flip, why are all the examples just that?

umm...do you mean the EXAMPLES...?? haha I just listed some of the more popular tricks..i.e. the ones that make the headlines...what trick would I like to see win? maybe a hs fs 3 rewind bs 3 with a grab ...or something like that, showing line control, flat spinning, etc...but thats just me...to many people, a 1080 is what they wanna see, so thats why i think we should include it as a canidate for move of the year.

The Billion Dollar Baby is what Bob Soven calls his tantrum with a tail grabbed 3. I can't remember if the 3 is FS or BS. It is pretty sick.

oh ya, i remember now...thats a sick trick too, love the definition of the two distinct tricks...a tanny then a tail 3..i am pretty sure it was FS...and I'm also very sure that it has been done before, just maybe not with a tail grab 3...Ruck has done similar tricks, and Briscoe way back in the day, there is a thread on here about it somewhere..anyways...you're right, thats a good-lookin baby!

lets see. kgb 5 is sick but multiple people are doing it. same goes with the 10. so i'd have to say #1 phillips crow 7. clean as hell and grabbed #2 if wakeskating counts stu shinn's 360 bigspin #3 rusty's backside 9 (it hurts me to say such a rediculously awesome trick would deserve only 3rd) but thats just my 2 cents

I think Stuart Shinn's Big Spin is far and away the wakeskate move of the year. The season is still young though.

I thought big spins were the most common trick in wakeskateing, like 7's in wakeboarding, + I thought Reed was really close back when they were filming Asterisk 2?? 1.) Agreed, Crow Seven, super clean. 2.) Back Nine 3.) KGB 5 just because it's a really cool looking trick. 4.) I forgot the Indy double back was landed this year! Who's 10 do you guys think was the best? I still think harf's was the cleanest so far, then Rathy's then Smeele's then Rusty's

Stu doesnt even make that look hard...thats ridiculous. i cant even wrap my head around it. backside 360 big spin. the board rotates around the opposite way your body rotates, and it was backside...this year has been amazing for the progression of riding.

water dork, I agree with the backside bigspin thing, it seems he did a b/s shove-it to late b/s 3. I find it hard to believe you think rusty's was the cleanest, take another look: http://youtube.com/watch?v=rUCmfpkjmeI&feature=related vs. http://youtube.com/watch?v=9Feja1inqgs&feature=related now look at the landings alone.

Yes Trevor but, Rusty has done multiple 1080's you can't just judge from one clip. His 1080 in Push Process is effortless

1. One of the 1080's 2. BS 9 3. Indy double backroll 4. Crow 7 5. KGB 5 Very, very tough choice between the BS 9 and the 10

Lyman's gap to rail and Murphy's "season ender" were BY FAR the most innovative tricks this year (thus far). I think those two deserve the move of the year simply because it was a different way of looking at the sport of Wakeboarding. Dont get me wrong I have a ton of respect for anyone adding an extra 180 to a trick but those two specific instances were very unique and innovative moves which deserve recognition. I am willing to bet most people who saw those two moves thought "wow, thats crazy, I never thought of that".

Lyman's wake to rail or Murphs' season ender drop. i'd say lymans wake to rail was the most legit thing that's gone down yet this year. nuckin futs.

Forgot about that HUGE drop that Murphy and Valliere did. The snowboarder in me is changing my vote from the back 9 to the drop. Man these are tough choices, Lyman's wake 270 to box is also unbelievable. Thanks and WAY TO STEP IT UP FELLAS!!!

Crow 7 is probably the most tech trick anyone has done to date, but you gotta hand it to the boys for crushing mad double ups and spinning 9's and 10's going HUGE.

BS 9 would prob get my vote, Lyman's wake to rail would be second. The 10's are all amazing but with how many have gone down I'd have a hard time giving it best trick.

The thing is, a crow 7 is very similar to an ole ts 1080. He also added a melon to it, and it was w2w, not off a d-up. I think that soven's crow 7 is superior to any of the 10's based solely off difficulty. He also stomped it cleanly.
