I know nothing about wiring a stereo into the boat. I am trying to find a wiring diagram to do this correctly for someone who knows very little about stereos. I also have an amp I will be hooking up to some 6x9's too. Anyone know how to help?

Wow!

Does the stereo have RCA pre-outs? If so, wire those to the amp. Then from the amp wire the speakers. If not, take the speaker wires from the HU to the input side of the amp. Then wire the output to the speakers.

It looks confusing, but once you get one speaker to work, the rest is easy. Just make sure you dont' cross the + and - going from the HU, to the amp, then to the speaker.

Make sure you also put a fuse in your power wire to the amp. You also might wanna put in a Perko switch and a second battery so you don't run your battery dead and cant start your boat.

Doug,

Here is a site that you may want to spend a few evenings reading, most all stereo questions can be answered here if you have enough time to sort through all the information.

I would suggest taking it to a stereo shop :-)
