I sold my 05 MB V23 to a Dentist in town a few months ago. He called me today and said he was out with about 14 people in the boat and the oil light was comming on and beeping kind of like the depth gage does. The boat seemed to be slowing down while it did it. What does that mean? Is the engine oil low? Any help would be appreciated.

Have the Dentist check the owners manual. I'm sure the beeping indicates low oil. If the oil level is the proper range it could be the oil sensor.

yea, could be oil levels, temps, pressure, etc. Gotta read the manual and if that doesnt have it, give a dealer a call.

Tell him stop using it immediately until he figures it out. Whatever it is that's complaining about low or no oil isn't going to last long if there's no oil!
